Our Story

Since the firm’s creation in 2001, S&J has become the go-to company for many of the largest developers and general contractors across New York City. S&J now provides its services to developments ranging from several dozen units to several hundred units. The firm has completed a vast array of projects including market-rate housing, affordable housing, rehabilitation of already existing housing, and office space.

The Founders

S&J Industrial was founded by Semyon Pivovarov and Tadeusz Pietrzak. Emigrating from the Soviet Union and Poland, respectively, the pair was driven to succeed from the moment they came to New York City. After years of working in the industry, the two knew they had to create something of their own. Many builders and developers realized their tenacity and work ethic, allowing Semyon and Tadeusz to score many large projects immediately from inception.
